What do you believe is the purpose of a college education?
I believe a college education is all about what one puts into it. If someone is adapting to living on their own without their parents, learning how to live with someone new, making new friends, and learning yo be an adult they are educated. A college education is not all about going to class and getting good grades, its also about becoming an adult and learning to live without your guardian.
What does it mean to be educated?
Being educated means that you care about school and you put effort into your assignments. It also means that you do not just finish something to get it done, you go above and beyond and keep going further. Education is the way you think about things in a broader way by go past your expectations and having an open mind about school and the world.
What experiences have you had with education that led you to this belief?
I do not have a certain event in my life that has led me to think about education this way. I do have parents who believe that you can't just succeed by going to class. My parents have always told me inspirational words. If I get stuck in life they always know how to pick me back up and make me keep going because they believe in me. I find that when people tell me I can do something and they force me to go further I can truly do it. In my case inspirational words have led me to believe what I believe about education.
